It's getting brighter, temperatures are soaring high day by day and people are finding way's to keep themselves cool.
From fresh
fruit juices to AC rooms, we do it all to keep ourselves cool. But even
what to wear, what not to wear "IN SUMMERS" is what one needs to know,
cause not just the right fabric can keep you cool but it is also the
right color and the right cut that will make up for d irresistible heat.
Summer Color Palette |
Colour palettes in summer is all mixed match with pastels
and neutrals. Obviously one does know the cool color and the warm color
funda but i'd still like to discuss in brief green's and blues are cool
colours cause they do give a soothing and calming effect to our eyes
thats why we have these color's usually at pools and hospitals while
reds and oranges are warm colors adding hot, alert or d look at me
effect to our eyes thus the danger signal. Neutral color are the earthy
tones beige, browns and obviously BLACK n WHITE are called as shades.
Likewise, in our mood board you'l help your summer wardrobe look peppy
and colourful. Seagreens, Mint Green, Leaf Green, Lime Green, in blues
you can go for all the lighter tones like teal, sky blue, cerulean blue,
navy's,turquoise, Lilac's, Light Yam, Strawberry, Candy Pink, Soft
pinks will define and add the required oomph and warmth. In earthy
tones, Mustard yellows, Light Beige's in all color's, Light Yellow, Sand
Color, Brown's is all that will look awesome. Do remember the science,
that shades of black and darker tones making the outfit blacker look
awesome but they have a tendency to warm up soon in the scorching sun
and make you feel hot while tints of white and pastels reflects back the
sun and thus you feel cooler.
What fabric you wear is also equally important. Summer
Fabrics should be the one's which are anti sweat, or cooling, or
breathable fabrics that allow the maximum amount of air through them so
the body feels cooler. The most common natural fabric that is known for
its breath ability is cotton. its breathable qualities come from its
porous fibers. Cotton fibers are
hollow in the center, allowing them to absorb perspiration and release
it quickly. This not only allows air to pass through the fibers, but
also keeps the body cool by drying perspiration. Because of its porous
nature, cotton also easily accepts dye, and many varieties are actually
stronger when wet. Cotton varieties and weaves include flannel, gauze,
gingham, muslin, sailcloth, sateen, terry cloth and velveteen. Locally
we have Mul's, Dobby, Chambric's. Other than cotton, Linen is also best
summer fabric but is an expensive variant. Linen is used in clothing for
its durability and breathability. It is
two to three times stronger than cotton and a better conductor of heat,
making it the most breathable fabric available. It is also easily cared
for and incredibly lightweight. Wicking fabrics are man-made fabrics
designed to relieve the body of
perspiration by “wicking” moisture away from the body and speeding up
the evaporation process, thus keeping the body at a stable temperature.
These fabrics are most commonly used in athletic or specific outdoor
clothing, and they help keep the body cool during activity. Thats why we
have anti-sweat, quick-dri in Sport Wear. Avoid wearing Synthetics and
Silk, cause that will heat u up and make you sweat even more.Breathable footwear is very important this season as you sweat more, your feet get moist, your sock's soak them and eek's they start stinking.. Wear Loafer's, Gladiator's, Simple Breathable Flat Slip-on's.. But keep in mind, like clothes let even your footwear breathe.
